Surgery is scheduled for Monday afternoon. The surgeon will be removing the mass and submitting it for biopsy. It may take up to 5 days to get those results.

Here is what you can pray for:

-          - Pray for wisdom for the surgeon. There are enough unknowns right now that he will have to make decisions during surgery regarding what will be in Cherie’s best interest.

 Pray that he has a restful weekend, with wonderful food and time with friends so that he can be renewed and ready for Cherie’s surgery

-          Pray for rest and ease of pain for Cherie

-          Pray for Cherie’s strength. She has not been allowed to have any food or liquids since early Thursday morning and things will need to continue like this for at least a couple days more

-          Pray for strength renewed daily for my parents and myself

-          Pray for the health of my family as I am away from them to help with things in Tucson right now. Pray for us as we find the new norm from 2 hours away and what that will look like

-          Pray for all of us to stay healthy, free from illness, so that we can be by Cherie’s side while this is all initially unfolding

Here’s what you can give praise for:

-          Cherie now has her own room! And it has a window, which is what she’s been asking for!

-          A good friend brought some Christmas lights into her room to hang. That has set a beautiful tone and put a smile on her face

-          God has given her wonderful, caring nurses and just the right doctors. I did my research on the doctors and each of them has very high reviews!
