The last 2 days my parents and Cherie AND Cherie's doctors have been fighting insurance regarding coverage. Her insurance, Liberty HealthShare, has decided not to cover anything related to Cherie's cancer. Doctors have written letters and a social worker also went to bat for Cherie. To say the least, I am very disappointed with the choice Liberty has made to not provide coverage and I feel that it's important you all know about the insurance company. When you need them the most, they drop you, claiming you signed up with a pre-existing illness when there's no record of any symptoms of her cancer previous to the discovery of the tumor. If you are looking for insurance I would think twice before signing up with Liberty HealthShare. Please feel free to let them know how disappointed you are to hear this, especially since they claim their insurance is based on Christian principles. There was no knowledge of pre-existing cancer or even any sure sign of it before 3 weeks ago!
Cherie has applied for AHCCCS and that one actually looks promising! Just think: Our tax dollars get to go towards helping Cherie fight her cancer! We will know in about a week if she is approved for coverage. Please pray that she will be approved.
